Fallen Ashes

Fallen Ashes are the band of Kyle Golder, step-son of Andy and sound producer extraordinaire. Kyle filled in on second guitar with Metatone for a while including at Grungefest 2021.

Crossing Giants are a two piece acoustic folk-punk band comprising Iain Macaulay and Dan Brennan, who both played in the band Voice of the Black Knife with John, Andy and Roddy.

Godszoo

A four-piece alternative/punk rock band from Lanarkshire, Godszoo have played with Metatone a number of times. Singer Davy is good friends with each of the Metatone band members.

Lost Dogs

Lost Dogs are a superb grunge-focused tribute band from Glasgow. Always guaranteed a huge crowd and a great audience reaction, Metatone have played with Lost Dogs on a few occasions.

Occult Fracture

Occult Fracture is a hard rock band with a dark edge, from Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. They have released two EPs and their live performances are energetic and powerful, as proven when they played with Metatone in May 2023.

Marisa and the Moths

Marisa And The Moths are a pretty filthy, filthy pretty, grunge influenced, Reading-based rock band with a modern edge. Female fronted with soaring vocals and powerful melodies. MatM played with Metatone in September 2019.

Sophie Lloyd

Sophie Lloyd is a guitarist who is heading for stardom. Currently touring with Machine Gun Kelly and releasing her own solo work, she was part of the Marissa and the Moths line up in September 2019. She has her own signature range of guitars with Kiesel.

Lord Bishop Rocks

Lord Bishop Rocks are mixing their brand of 70s influenced Hardrock, Funk, Blues, Jazz, Reggae and Punk – meshing it into a sound they call Hendrixian Motör Funk. Lord Bishop Rocks played with Metatone in Edinburgh in May 2019.

The Goatboy

The Goatboy are a 4-piece grunge rock from Perth, Scotland. Influenced by the likes of Mudhoney, Nirvana, Silverchair, and The Vines.

Muddibrooke

Muddibrooke are an alt-rock/grunge, female-fronted trio from the East Midlands. They have received radio airplay on Kerrang, Planet Rock and Radio 1. Muddibrooke play with Metatone on 24th June, 2023.

Dead City Riots profess themselves to be a bunch of old dudes that never grew up and are back playing again after a wee delay. Appearing with Metatone on the Sound of Seattle label’s Unicorn tracks Album.

Neil H Watson is a Scottish singer-songwriter. He is known for his sincere and emotive lyrics and is described as having “music in his soul”.

The Mighty Joes’ music ranges from contemporary and traditional Celtic and Americana grooves to alternative rock/pop stylings.

Dog Watch is a transatlantic musical project featuring Andy from Metatone Greg Gilmore of Mother Love Bone. They have released two tracks on charity compilation albums.

After the demise of his previous band bassist and singer Andy Bruce was looking to continue his song-writing. On setting up a little home recording studio 4Below was born.

LoopManiac is a chilled recording studio and rehearsal space in Dunfermline, and a regular haunt of Metatone.

Substation

SubStation is a recording studio and rehearsal rooms in Rosyth, where Metatone honed their three-piece sounds and recorded a number of demos. It is also where the 45 EP was mixed and mastered.

Sounds of Seattle

A private Facebook group of likeminded grunge fans, focused on Scotland but with a global membership. The group also does fundraising work for charity, notably Diabetes Scotland.
