Second Guitar

Andrew follows in the footsteps of Kyle Golder, who was instrumental in expanding the band’s live sound. Kyle remains very much in the Metatone camp, doing the band’s live sound and occasional mixing.
Andy Colliar, vocals and guitar said of him “Andrew gelled with us the first time we jammed. We immediately knew he was right for the band… He’s a really tight and tasteful player. That, combined with his no-nonsense, classic Les Paul and Marshall sound it’s like finding a part of the puzzle you didn’t know you were missing”.
Normally a man of few words, when asked out his influences, Andrew enthuses: “The first band I ever properly listened to was The Beatles, but ever since discovering bands like Nirvana and Green Day, my tastes have mostly remained in 90s and 2000s rock. Bands whose guitarists have influenced me include Weezer, Queens of the Stone Age, The Strokes, and My Chemical Romance. However, I also listen to other genres such as thrash metal, pop, and jazz rock. “
Andrew’s live debut with Metatone is 24th June at Bannermans Bar, supporting rising grunge stars Muddibrooke, from Derby, England and Glasgow’s Royal Bloom.
